In November 2023, the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup will take place, as young talents from across the globe aim to make a mark. Indonesia is set to host the 2023 U-17 World Cup in four different cities and stadiums, including Jakarta International Stadium, Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Jalak Harupat Stadium, and Manahan Stadium. This particular iteration of the FIFA U-17 World Cup will kick-off on November 10, with the group stage ending on November 18.

2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup schedule, date, venue, format, & participating teams

As per schedule, the Round of 16 will commence on November 20 and run through November 21. Following a brief two-day hiatus, the quarter-finals are set to be contested on November 24 and 25. Both semi-final matches are scheduled for November 28, with the third-place match taking place on December 1. The grand finale will unfold on December 2, with Manahan Stadium in Surakarta serving as the venue for the last six matches of the tournament.

A total of 24 teams will vie for the U-17 World Cup title. The host nation, Indonesia, secured an automatic qualification berth, marking their inaugural appearance on the global stage. Four other Asian nations, namely Iran, Japan, South Korea, and Uzbekistan, also earned their spots. Meanwhile, Burkina Faso, Mali, Morocco, and Senegal have secured their places through the African qualifiers.

From the CONCACAF region, Canada, Panama, Mexico, and the USA have secured their slots. In South America, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela have emerged as the qualifiers. New Caledonia and New Zealand will represent Oceania. The five European nations earning their spots are England, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
