The 23 players who, based on their performances from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023, inclusive, garnered the most votes from their peers are the FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11 nominees. A minimum of 23 official matches had to be played by the players throughout that time.
The players who have garnered the most votes; three goalkeepers, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards; will be chosen for the World 11. The outfield player who remains and receives the next-highest number of votes will be given the final position in the World 11.
For sixteen years running, Messi has been a member of the FIFA FIFPRO World 11. Before losing out in 2022, Ronaldo had been a member of the dream team for 15 seasons running.
