What is the concept of the new FIFA Club World Cup?

The Club World Cup is an annual football tournament that has been held since 2000. The competition features the top teams in every continental competition and involves seven teams fighting for the title. However, the format of the tournament will be completely changed in 2025. The concept of a new Club World Cup has been explored for quite some time, and it was supposed to take place in China in 2021 with 24 teams.
