Did you know that the championship’s inaugural edition was held way back in 1963 in Lebanon? Tunisia emerged victorious in that edition of the Arab Cup. The Cup was then played in 1964 and then in 1966, after which it was contested straight in 1985 i.e. after almost 20 years. Iraq holds the title for being the most successful side to have played the Cup, having won it a total of four times.
