FIFA 23 is almost set for release with just a few days left, and EA Sports have revealed the list of the highest-rated women’s player set to feature on this year’s game
Previously in July, FIFA announced that they would add women’s club teams to the game for the first time ever.

The announcement has since garnered a lot of anticipation among women’s football fans.
Moreover, fans will be excited to hear that the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which is set to be held in Australia and New Zealand, will also feature in FIFA 23.
Which means that players from the Women’s Super League and the Division 1 Féminine, along with stars from national teams such as Spain, Germany and the US, will feature on the game.

Ballon d’Or winner Putellas is undoubtedly the highest-rated player on FIFA 23. Fans however, won’t be able to play as the 28-year-old midfielder in a Barcelona kit.
Instead, Putellas be available in the Spanish national team on the Women’s World Cup feature.
Next to Putellas are Kerr, Renard and Hegerberg who are all on 91, while Morgan, the only American player in the top 25, is rated 90.
Arsenal fans may feel upset by Miedema’s 89 rating, as she is currently the all-time record goalscorer in the WSL. However, fellow Arsenal teammate Mead who was the Euro 2022 Golden Boot winner is just behind her on 88.
A number of Mead’s England teammates are also on the list, including Bronze, Hemp and Bright.
Inclusion Of Women’s Club Teams On FIFA, A Big Step
FIFA have previously featured Women’s teams since FIFA 16, but only international sides up until now.
Gamers can currently play as women in FIFA 22’s Pro Clubs mode. Another notable feature inclusion is former Arsenal star Alex Scott, who became the first English-speaking female broadcaster on the game this year.
EA Sports marketing director James Salmon also explained why the inclusion of women’s teams on FIFA 23 was so important. He stated:
We’re committed to playing an active role in the growth of women’s football and our hope is that the inclusion of women’s club’s sparks further interest in viewership, match attendance and participation in the grassroots game
There are a number of amazing women’s leagues and tournaments across the world for fans to experience – the WSL and D1F are prime examples.
Salmon also hinted that women’s football fans had lots to look forward to on the new edition of FIFA:
The reaction to the introduction of WSL and D1 Arkema has been fantastic, all I can say for now is that we’re looking forward to sharing more exciting updates over the next few months.
