On March 8, Major League Soccer with Electronic Arts announced plans for the fifth edition of the eMLS Cup which will be held in front of a live crowd and in conjunction with Austin FC.

The 2022 eMLS Cup presented by Coca-Cola will be held at the historical Austin City Limits Live downtown Austin, Texas on Sunday, March 13 at 3 p.m. ET as an official SXSW event.

The 2022 eMLS Cup will be broadcast live on the official MLS Twitch and Twitter channels. The early rounds of this year’s edition will incorporate squad streaming, which will let viewers to watch up to four matches at once.

In a bracket elimination system, North America’s best 12 FIFA 22 competitors — each representing each MLS team – will face off at ACL Live. Each game is split into two halves, comparable to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
