FIDE Chess Grand Prix 2022 Schedule And Dates
The FIDE Grand Prix 2022 is a chess tournament series that will take place between February 3 and April 4, 2022. The top two finishers will go to the Candidates Tournament 2022, the last round of qualification for the World Chess Championship 2023. Two tournaments will be held in Berlin, Germany, and one will be held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Tournament Format
A total of 24 players qualified to play in the FIDE Grand Prix. Each player will participate in two of the three competitions. Each event will include 16 players and will be split into two stages.
The players are sorted into four groups of four in the first stage, and each group competes in a double round-robin mini-tournament. The top four finishers in each pool advance to the next round.
The four pool winners compete in a knockout tournament with semi-finals and a final in the second stage. Both the semi-finals and final will feature two traditional time limit games, as well as tie-breaks if necessary.

FIDE Grand Prix 2022 Leg 2 Pool And Players
Tournament-2 is scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia from 1st March to 14th March. On March 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7, the double round-robin stage will feature six rounds of regular time control games, followed by tie-breaks on March 8. Winners will advance to the knockout stage.
