Formula E is an all-electric racing series started by the FIA in 2011. Teams of two cars and drivers race around the city street circuit across the globe powered by fully electric power trains to reduce carbon emission and to take motorsports to the new sustainable level.

Weekend Schedule
All events begin with two practice sessions in the morning of 45 minutes and 30 minutes during this time, the drivers can utilize the maximum potential of the car in the qualifying that is currently 250 kW. Then comes the qualifying session of 60 minutes where the drivers are divided into groups of 6 defined by their position in the championship.
Every group has six minutes to set their best time of the qualifying, with the top-six drivers aiming for the Julius Baer Pole Position and an additional three points. During the Super Pole shoot-out, the top 6 drivers of the Championship go out one by one for their Super Pole Shoot-out.
E-Prix
E-Prix gets underway with a standing start with all the cars in a stationary position until the lights go green. The E-Prix lasts for 45-minutes. In the end, once the 45 minutes are up and the leader has crossed the finish line a final lap takes place.
Attack mode
Formula E consists of a new feature that is called the attack mode where the drivers can generate extra power by driving in the specific activation zone that enables an extra 35 kW of power. If there is a yellow flag or a safety car, drivers will not be able to use the Attack mode.

Tyres
18-inch treaded all-weather tyres are used by every team supplied by Michelin – the official tyre supplier of the FIA Formula E World Championship. Every driver is allocated four new rear and four new front tyres for each event.

Just like any other FIA event, Formula E follows the same point allocation system.

- 2nd – 18pts
- 3rd – 15pts
- 4th – 12pts
- 5th – 10pts
- 6th – 8pts
- 7th – 6pts
- 8th – 4pts
- 9th – 2pts
- 10th – 1pt

Fastest driver in Qualifying – 1 point
Fastest Lap of the race – 1 point driver has to finish in top 10
