Formula 2 is the second tier of single-seater racing events and acts as a stepping stone in the young driver’s career. Young drivers battle it out to secure promotion into Formula 1 which is the highest level of motorsports.
Despite being a shadow of Formula 1, GP2 has provided the audience with some of the closest races between the young and energetic drivers. Meanwhile, some drivers secure promotion after winning the GP2 Championship. However, only a few get an appropriate opportunity which they could capitalize and establish themselves in F1.

Mick Schumacher the son of legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher secured promotion to Formula 1 last year after winning the GP2 Championship. He is currently driving for Haas F1 Team in the Formula 1 partnering with Nikita Mazepin.
Many junior drivers have secured promotion into Formula 1 but not everybody has achieved success on the grid.
