Barca is yet to announce the free transfer signings of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, according to reports in Spain, since the club is unable to register the two players without surpassing its wage cap restriction.
Meanwhile, according to another report from Spain, the club is on the edge of ‘economic collapse.’ Sique Rodriguez, a Spanish journalist, reported on Que T’hi Jugues that Barcelona has to earn more than €500 million (£425 million) by June 30 to achieve its estimated €765 million (£650 million) budget.
Barcelona has unveiled a new strategy of generating cash by providing supporters with the chance to play on the hallowed Nou Camp pitch, possibly as a result of their financial difficulties. Fans can pay €300 each for a 60-minute run on the pitch between June 6 and 11.
According to the club’s website, fans will enter the field of play from the same tunnel as their Barcelona heroes and will be guaranteed at least 40 minutes of playing time. After the games, spectators will be able to shower and change in the Nou Camp locker facilities.
“Have you ever dreamed of playing at the Camp Nou?” said a statement on the club’s website.

The tweet got a lot of negative replies where fans trolled the club for financial conditions and stability. Despite the criticism, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Barcelona fans to play on one of the most iconic football pitches in the world.
However, with tickets costing €300 each, it’s unclear how many fans will take advantage of the deal.
