Meanwhile, on Friday, two massive earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 6.4 shook central Myanmar, sending significant vibrations over neighbouring Thailand and parts of India. After this incident, people are interested in Sky Pool.

After an earthquake in Bangkok transformed a rooftop pool into a waterfall, a video of London’s transparent swimming pool, known as the Sky Pool, went viral.

The Sky Pool, London, which opened in 2021 and is currently receiving more attention, is situated between two buildings 115 feet above a roadway in southwest London’s Nine Elms district.

In partnership with the architectural companies Hal Currey and Arup Associates, Embassy Gardens created the Sky Pool, which was designed by structural engineer Eckersley O’Callaghan. The idea, which first surfaced in 2013, was to make swimming transparent so that swimmers could see the earth below.

Despite the Sky Pool’s long history, recent occurrences have rekindled public interest. Videos of the pool are still being shared on social media, with fans praising its creative design and remarkable similarity to the dramatic Bangkok scenes.

Thailand earthquake

In Bangkok, the shaking was so severe that a rooftop pool unexpectedly overflowed and fell like a waterfall down a high-rise.

43 people were trapped after a 30-story skyscraper that was being built for government offices fell in the city, according to news agency AFP. It’s still unknown how many people were killed and how much damage was done.

The epicenter of the earthquakes was situated roughly 50 kilometers east of the central Myanmar city of Monywa. In Myanmar, a nation already enmeshed in a civil war, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, despite the ferocity.

People in Imphal, the capital of Manipur, were shocked by the unexpected shocks. People in the Rupmahal neighborhood felt the earthquakes and hurried out of their houses.

One of the residents of Kangjabi Leirak Nagamapal in Imphal claimed, “We felt the first earthquake as the water in our pond was shaking.”

Authorities are currently keeping an eye on the situation and estimating the possible effects in the impacted areas.
