Although Olympic champion Hanyu Yuzuru announced his retirement in July-22, he has been part of a remarkable journey since then. Beginning on Friday, he will be part of the four-week long Fantasy on Ice tour alongside numerous famous skaters

CIC produces Fantasy on Ice, an annual travelling ice show in Japan. After being resurrected in 2010, the tour was extended to include larger venues in the metropolitan areas of Tokyo and Kobe. Since 2015, Fantasy on Ice has taken place in June, spanning one month, and often including four stops in various prefectures across Japan.

2023 Fantasy on Ice skaters, venue, & detailed schedule

Hanyu Yuzuru, a two-time Olympic champion in men’s figure skating, will take the stage for Fantasy on Ice 2023 starting from Friday in Chiba. It is confirmed that fellow Olympic participants like Stephane Lambiel, Javier Fernandez, Johnny Weir, Arakawa Shizuka, Sakamoto Kaori, & the pair of Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron will compete alongside Hanyu on the four-week tour.

According to the official schedule, the initial phase of this tour will run from 26-May through 28-May in Chiba before taking place at Miyagi between 2-Jun and 4-Jun. From 16th-18th June, the tour will continue in Niigata before culminating in Kobe on 28-Jun.
