On Thursday, WNEM TV 5 also reported her passing and paid tribute to the anchor who was a part of their team from 2013 to 2016.

Faith Rempe, who worked here from 2013 to 2016, passed away, WNEM TV 5 tweeted, “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of former TV5 reporter and weekend anchor Faith Rempe.”
Kurt, Faith’s heartbroken husband, mourned his wife’s passing but found comfort in the thought that she “no longer has any agony.” He said, “After a gruelling 11-month battle with cancer, my lovely wife and best friend Faith Rempe passed away this night. While we are heartbroken that we won’t be able to keep her lovely smiling face close to us, we can rejoice in the knowledge that she is no longer suffering and that we shall meet her again in eternity. Please keep our family in your prayers as we begin the grieving process at this trying time.” The details of the funeral and memorial services will be released soon.
Who Is Faith Who Fought A Long Battle With A Rare Blood Cancer
Faith was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer in October 2021. “Faith’s Fight” is a Facebook page where she posts updates about her cancer fight.
Born and raised in Midland, Michigan, Gantner graduated from Central Michigan University in broadcast journalism. She started working for WNEM TV 5 in 2013 and continued doing so till the day she wed her husband. Their jobs at Fox 5 took them both to Las Vegas in 2016. One month after having her second son, Faith received a diagnosis of Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a rare kind of blood cancer.
Faith admitted to the Midland Daily News at the time of her diagnosis, “It was quite shocking. It was challenging to process.
In April, Faith underwent a bone marrow transplant. In the months that followed, she had to deal with a number of difficulties, but she announced in a late-July update that she was cancer-free.
However, she returned to the hospital a few weeks later with new difficulties, and she passed away on Wednesday.
