Luis Diaz was named ‘Man of the Match’ in the FA Cup final
Luis Diaz was named the best player in the FA Cup final, which Liverpool won on penalties over Chelsea. The Colombian was the Reds’ main threat, and he came close to scoring several times.
After joining the club from Porto during the January transfer window, the footballer has made an immediate impact. The Colombian started the Cup final for the majority of it until being replaced in extra time. He was a constant threat to Chelsea’s defence throughout the game.
After winning the League Cup with the Reds in February, the Colombian now has two pieces of silverware in his trophy cabinet. In the final of that championship, he played Chelsea once more, and the match was settled by a penalty shootout. Diaz had several chances to score, including one that hit the post in the final minutes of the game.
