Details from within the Minnesota Timberwolves camp justify the team partying ways with Gersson Rosas
Ripples were sent across the land of the NBA yesterday after Minnesota Timberwolves decided to sensationally relieve President of Basketball Operations, Gersson Rosas of his duties. With the sack coming just a few days before training camp got underway, the decision was one which left people associated with the league and team puzzled.
Inside Details Emerge Of Gersson Rosas Being Fired By Minnesota Timberwolves
However, in the aftermath of Rosas being fired, inside details have emanated of his term at the Timberwolves, ones which justify the team deciding his time was up with the club. A large part of Gersson Rosas’ reign at the club was said to be fraught with controversies with his tenure marred with allegations of mismanagement.
A report from The Athletic went onto dwell into Rosas’ reign with him said to be facing accusations of running a dysfunctional front office. Tensions ran high during his time at the helm with his decision making not deemed to be sustainable by people at the club with complaints reaching as high as team owner Glen Taylor and incoming minority owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez.
“This decision was made for performance reasons,” a Timberwolves personnel privy to developments and mentioned in the report as high-ranking said.
Members of the team who were overworked and asked to stay back for long hours were also unhappy with how previous head coach Ryan Saunders was fired last season. The dismissal of longtime scout Zarko Durisic didn’t do Rosas any favours either with some player agents also talking about how Rosas didn’t live up to his promises.
Along with his horrendous style of decision making, Rosas is also said to have been involved in an extra-marital affair with a team member, another issue which didn’t go down well with the bigwigs at the club.
