Ronaldo and his club Al-Nassr are currently in a tough spot as they lost some potential points while trailing behind the league leaders.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently playing his football in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr. The 38-year-old left Manchester United back in December 2022 after have disagreements with current United boss, Erik ten Hag. He has since maintained a decent form for his new club, scoring 11 goals across 10 league matches.
However, his club are currently trailing behind league leaders Al-Ittihad. And to add more to their troubles, the side dropped even further behind after drawing 0-0 in their most recent game against Al-Feiha.
The result ended with the sacking of club manager Rudi Garcia whom the club announced left by mutual consent. Dinko Jelicic, the under-19 head coach is now taking charge of the senior side.
Fans spot Ronaldo’s toenails painted black
With the gap between Ronaldo’s side and league leaders Al-Ittihad now set to three points, Ronaldo will need to be in his best form to win the league. The Portuguese forward certainly looks to be in his peak physical condition and recently shared a picture of himself in a sauna looking absolutely ripped.
However, fans were quick to spot something else, which seemed quite bizarre. Instead of paying attention to his physique, fans were more interested in his toenails, which were painted black.
Interestingly, this is not something new for Ronaldo either. Fans noticed the same when he took a picture with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, and also from another picture from years ago.

According to sources, the reason behind Ronaldo painting his nails black is reportedly to do with staying healthy.
A Twitter user commented:
Idk but all I know is athletes who do MMA usually add paint to get a protective layer or something.”
Meanwhile, German outlet BILD stated:
Many top athletes do this to protect their nails from fungi and bacteria when they are stuck in sweaty shoes for hours. Even Mike Tyson.”
With the current season drawing to a close, Ronaldo will be looking to bring back his Al-Nassr side on top of the Saudi Pro League. Al-Nassr’s next match is against fourth-placed Al-Hilal on Tuesday 18 April.
