CONSOB, the government agency in charge of regulating the Italian securities market, asked the club for details about the accounts. Most people think this is what led to the recent mass resignations.
The results of the prosecution would reportedly be given to the FIGC, which is the Italian football federation. Depending on the nature and severity of the crime, the FIGC could then take action, such as banning a club.
