Bazzball and DravBall

Over the past 12-13 months, England have been playing a very aggressive style of batting, especially during the Test matches. ESPN Cricinfo UK editor Andrew Miller coined the term ‘Bazball’ to describe this style of play. The term is named after Brendon McCullum who took over the role of Head Coach of England. Interestingly, Brendon hates the term. BazBall was recently a hot topic during the Ashes series 2023 between England and Australia. Notably, a new term ‘DravBall’ also surfaced, which was used to describe India’s dominance and aggressive style of play against West Indies. The term was named after Indian legend Rahul Dravid’s team.
