Both slang terms fuhuhluhtoogan and Jittleyang originated in Baltimore, Maryland. They appear to have originated from Richard Webster who is a local rapper and barber known by the stage name Bippleyipsnipp.
Bippleyipsnipp released a song “City Girls” in 2021. The music has him dancing and rapping in a Baltimore back alley, using almost incomprehensible jargon. At the end of 2023, the song went extremely viral on TikTok because so many people were enthralled with his noises.
He uses “jittleyang” and “fuhuhluhtoogan” throughout the song in addition to a number of other sounds. He regularly uploads videos to his personal Instagram account of himself talking over popular videos using his slang catchphrases. Also, Bippleyipsnipp writes “jikkuhlang” instead of “jittleyang” with two t’s.
Jittleyang meaning
Jikkuhlang the Dictionary is a book that Richard Webster who is also known as Bippleyipsnipp published on Amazon in 2022. It may have the illusive definition of the odd slang phrase, one would suppose. However, the Baltimore Bible does not define the word directly. Rather, the word “jikkal,” which has a similar structure, is defined. In essence, it implies “an attention grabber.”
The suffix “-yang” appears to be a stylistic accent which is introduced to words to give them an extra flare rather than necessarily an additional meaning, like other dictionary-cited words. Consequently, “jittle-yang” probably refers to an attention-grabbing individual or object.
Fuhuhluhtoogan meaning
Webster’s Jikkuhlang the Dictionary does not provide a definitive definition for “fuhuhluhtoogan”.
With the use of context cues from its alternative words (described in the book), such as “fuckalyoot” and “fuckalyew,” we can assume that “fuhuhluhtoogan” means something like “good in bed.”
In the jittleyang and fuhuhluhtoogan video, a girl was questioning her mother in a TikTok video, “Are you a jittleyang or a fuhuhluhtoogan?” This video went viral in January. The mother was asking, “What?” again and over while the girl was nearly screaming.
