For those who don’t know, swatting is an irresponsible prank played on YouTubers. Streamers in which viewers contact 911 and direct the agents to the streamer’s house.
Typically, the prankster will make a deadly threat about the person they are reporting. This might result in law enforcement officers showing up at the streamer’s house and creating uncertainty and worry.
A hoax call in 2021 reportedly resulted in 50 police officers arriving at the home of JoJo Siwa. She is a former Dance Moms star and YouTube sensation.
In order to protect the privacy of their address, many online superstars are now extra cautious when recording inside their homes. Simple safety measures can be performed, such as drawing the curtains to block telltale signs.
Adin Ross Appeared To Get Swatted
Ross could be heard talking about the issue over the phone, saying, “There’s a SWAT squad at my house right now, dude, I can hear them,” in the video that has been re-uploaded to his YouTube account.
The streamer asks viewers, “Why do y’all do this to people?” and rose his hands over his head. Meanwhile, fans were quick enough to comment furiously on streamers’ comment sections.
Ross maintained his composure during the raid and reassured that his buddies who were present in the room were all ok and settled. As his feed on Twitch continues to play live, the video ends with Ross and his buddies exiting the room with their hands over their heads.

Even though Ross frequently stirs up controversy, Twitter users seemed to come together in favour of him, with the majority agreeing that swatting should not be entertained at any cost.
Although Ross’s channel appears to have been recovered, it was claimed that his Twitch account had been suspended following the release of the video.
