Whether it is ITZY’s Ryujin who is rumoured to be dating NCT’s Haechan or Winner’s Seungyoon who is in a public relationship with rookie YG Entertainment idol Moon Jihyo.

Whether these are true or just rumoured, fans of K-Pop have found themselves amid a completely new rumour over the last few hours.
Today, on Aug 18, a few photos from “eye-witness” fans were seen making rounds online. As per these photos, fans alleged that 4 fromis_9 members were hanging out in Hongdae, Seoul alongside boy band group Pentagon’s Wooseok.
The rumor became sensationalized after it was reported by the same fans that the 5 idols went to a room bar in the area.
Not just this, but it was also alleged that the idols got themselves engaged into drinking a lot of alcohol and to add more fuel to the fire, Wooseok was also spotted smoking an e-cigarette.
What is a room bar?
As per the rumors, these 5 idols first visited a room bar in Hongdae, one where Pentagon’s Wooseok was allegedly spotted smoking at.
The room bars in South Korea means a private space or room where guests are served alcohol. As the space is free from public access, the guests can do whatever they want without the fear of getting caught by the public eye.
Generally, being associated with a place that looks like a room bar is frowned upon in the Korean community and when it comes to K-pop idols being associated themselves with a place of such reputation, the outrage is amplified.
Although, the Korean media has shut down these rumors about Pentagon’s Wooseok and fromis_9 after being called out by fans for making up fake rumors.
However, the original poster came up with “proof” in the form of photos to point out that the girls of fromis_9 hung out with Wooseok at a room bar.
Some of these original poster claims were purported with the post made by fromis_9’s Jisun, who posted a photo of the 4 members of the girl group.
In the photo posted by Jisun, fans were able to spot the fromis_9 members wearing the same outfits as spotted by the original poster.
Soon enough, these rumours started grabbing a lot of attention among fans, however, both the entertainment house, Pledis Entertainment and Cube Entertainment has provided their statement to address the rumour.
As per the statement given by Pentagon’s agency, Cube Entertainment, they rubbished the rumor by stating that Wooseok had never been at the place on that day and had not contacted any member of the girl group.
In their statement they went on to say, “It is groundless. Wooseok was not there at the time. Nor has he contacted anyone from fromis_9. He has never met them on that or any other day.”
On the other hand, the Pledis Entertainment pointed out that the girls of fromis_9 did visit Hongdae, but they did not engage themselves in consuming alcohol or visiting a room bar for that matter.
