The Premier League claims that Manchester City broke more than 100 financial regulations, have a look at what they along with their FFP violations breach as they are charged
Following a four-year inquiry, a league commission was notified of several infractions of the Financial Fair Play and league regulations. If misbehaviour is confirmed, one of the effects could be a points deduction.
Manchester City, the defending Premier League champions and one of the most successful international clubs in any sport over the past ten years, were officially charged Monday by league officials with violating financial regulations over the previous nine seasons after a four-year inquiry.

Between the 2009–10 and 2017–18 seasons, City is accused of breaking more than 100 rules, most notably by failing to publish “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position.”
The Premier League will examine both private and open-ended penalties, which may include fines, a loss of points in the league standings, or even relegation from England’s top division.
During the period when these alleged financial irregularities are supposed to have occurred, the team notably won four Premier League titles.
Specific accusations from the league include:
Club revenue, comprising sponsorship income and running expenses, including complete disclosure of Roberto Mancini’s manager compensation from 2009–10 to 2012–13 and player compensation from 2010–11 to 2015–16.
Financial Fair Play rules and regulations from 2013–2014 through 2017–2018 at UEFA.
Profitability and sustainability regulations in the Premier League from 2015–16 to 2017–18.

The complaint against Manchester City Financial Fair Play is not new, as evidenced by this most recent incident.
Due to major FFP violations from 2012 to 2016, the club was banned from participating in European tournaments, including the Champions League, for two years in 2020. However, the decision was swiftly overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
After the German newspaper Der Spiegel reported in November 2018 that Man City had inflated the value of one of its sponsorship deals as part of its Football Leaks probe, UEFA launched its inquiry in 2018.
Five points fewer behind league-leading Arsenal, City is now at No. 2 in the Premier League rankings. On February 22, it takes part in the Round of 16 of the Champions League by playing Red Bull Leipzig in Germany.
