Popular messaging platform Discord, is now available for use on Xbox Devices, and fans are excited to learn how to use Discord on Xbox One and Xbox Series X with voice chat options.
So far, both Discord and Xbox have given proper guided explanations on how the process works.

Developers have been testing Discord Voice on Xbox consoles for quite a few months, and the resulting product hasn’t taken long to arrive.
How To Use Discord On Xbox Devices
Discord Voice is currently available on all Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles as of now. Fans can now stay connected to their own gaming communities.
Fans who decide to use the app will gain access to voice channels and group calls. Discord Voice will prove to be helpful tool especially when playing with friends and teammates on different platforms, as well as during technical issues on the Xbox platform.
In order to use Discord on Xbox, gamers simply need to follow a few easy steps, which include linking your Discord account to your Xbox.
Steps to link Discord and Xbox accounts
The first step will be downloading the latest Xbox update that Microsoft released. Android users can check to ensure that they’re on the latest version of the mobile Discord app.
These are the steps to linking your Discord and Xbox accounts on consoles:
- Log into your Xbox device and press the Xbox button on the controller to open the console’s guide.
- Got To The Settings Page, Choose Account And Head To The Linked social accounts Tab
- Under the Not Linked section, choose the Discord tile and select Link.
- Follow the prompts to connect your Discord and Xbox accounts.
On Xbox App:
- Open the Xbox app on the mobile device and select the Discord spotlight on the app’s homepage.
- The app will let you know that you will need to connect both your Xbox and Discord accounts. Press Continue.
- Input your Discord credentials and press Login.
- Input your Microsoft credentials and press Login.
- You can now show your GamerTag, game activity, and how long you’ve been playing in your Discord user profile.
On Xbox Console
- Log into your Xbox device and press the Xbox button on the controller to open the console’s guide.
- Navigate through Profile & System > Settings > Account > Linked social accounts
- Under the Not Linked section, choose the Discord tile and select Link.
- Follow the prompts to connect your Discord and Xbox accounts.
Transfer Chats To Xbox
Once gamers have connected their discord and Xbox accounts they can also transfer their chats to Xbox through the following steps.
- Make sure to follow the steps above in the How to Connect My Xbox Account from Discord section to properly connect your accounts.
- Once you have connected your accounts, you must install the Xbox app from your mobile device’s app store.
If you don’t install the Xbox app, you will not be able to transfer Voice to your console.
- On your app, select a voice channel, swipe up for audio control settings, and select Join on Xbox.
- If you’ve downloaded the Xbox app on your mobile device, it will open at this point. If not, you will be prompted to download it from your device’s app store. Once you have the Xbox app downloaded, choose the console you would like to transfer the audio to, then press Transfer Audio.
- In your Discord mobile app, you will be able to Mute and Deafen your audio by swiping up in the voice channel, which will be reflected in your Console.
Once gamers have followed all these steps, they can find a new tab on the Parties & Chats screen. Tap on the Try Discord Voice, which will be the gateway to trying all the new options available.
