Colton Underwood opened up on how tough it was for him to cope with his sexuality as his boyfriend Jordan C. Brown meets his family
Ex-NFL player Colton Underwood had shed new light on his sexuality and how tough it was to him to cope with being a gay player in the league and his struggles with coming out.
Underwood is heard talking about how he had gone onto abuse Xanax in a bid to reign in his gayness in his Netflix show.
“I was suppressing my sexuality so hard that I was taking medication daily to deal with depression and anxiety, and that made me a paranoid freak. I didn’t trust a whole lot of people, and I was trying to do anything and everything I could to protect a secret.
“I started to spiral. I was f**ked up. I lost my mind, and I did some things, I said some things that I’m not proud of,” he said in his Netflix show.

Colton had played as a defensive end at Illinois State and was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent. He was also on the practice squad of the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles.
Underwood has also taken part in the 14th season of The Bachelorette before he wen onto become the lead of the 23rd season of The Bachelor. His father Scott Underwood had previously spoken about how he wished his son had told him about his sexual preference with him only becoming aware of it after Colton informed him infront of cameras.
Colton’s current boyfriend, Jordan C. Brown who is a political advisor had recently met his family with things going well.
