Drafted as the ninth overall pick by the Boston Celtics in 1994, Montross went on to be selected for the NBA Second All-Rookie team in 1995.
During his eight-year NBA career, Eric played for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, & Toronto Raptors. Throughout his career, Montross maintained an average of 4.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 0.6 blocks, and 0.4 assists per game. He participated in 465 games, starting 288 of them.
