Devon Wylie, a star at Fresno State and former NFL player, passed away, and this unfortunate news was confirmed by his family. Doug N. Ashlee Wylie’s Facebook page statement read:

We wanted to make this post so people who knew and loved Devon could learn of his passing because we don’t have the capacity to reach out to everyone in this hard time.

Further was written:

There are no words to express the sadness that comes from losing a brother, dear friend and an amazing uncle.”

The post also mentioned how he never failed to make them laugh with his football skills, guitar jams, goofy jokes and voices, back flips, hilarious conversation, Star Wars obsessed discussion, and Halo nights. The post mentioned:

Devon Wylie was a former Fresno State player who was just 35-years-old when he passed away. The 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m) tall player was born on September 2, 1988 in Sacramento, California, U.S. His cause of death is still not known.

Wylie was a fourth round Kansas City Chiefs draft pick in 2012. A year later, he joined the Tennesse Titans in 2013. On September 25, 2013, Wylie signed a contract to join the Arizona Cardinals practise squad. On December 5, 2013, Wylie was added to the practise squad of the Seattle Seahawks. On December 7, 2013, he was set free.

In 2011, Bulldogs punt returner Devon Wylie was named an all-American. He returned 41 punts for an average of 13.5 yards during his tenure at Fresno State, which ran from 2007 to 2011.
