BetVictor European Masters 2022 Day 4 Results, Main Tournament Day 5 Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
On day four of the BetVictor European Masters in Fürth, Mark Williams defeated two opponents in quick succession, securing his spot in the semifinals with a 5-1 thrashing of fellow Welshman Jamie Jones. He had earlier in the day defeated China’s Zhou Yuelong 5-0 in just one hour and 14 minutes.
Williams, the seventh-ranked player in the world, defeated Jones later in the evening with an outstanding performance. Now, Williams will compete against Barry Hawkins in the semifinals on Saturday night. Hawkins, the 12th-ranked player in the world, defeated Trump, the 2019 World Champion, 5-3, to earn a position in the last four.
Ali Carter advanced to the semifinals by defeating Wu Yize, a Chinese teenager, 5-3. In the semifinals, he will take on Kyren Wilson, a fellow four-time ranking event champion, who defeated Si Jiahui 5-2 in the quarterfinal.
