On the 2022 PDC Pro Tour, the Interwetten European Darts Open will be the sixth of thirteen PDC European Tour tournaments. The competition will be held from May 6–8, 2022, in the Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen, Germany. It will include a field of 48 players and a prize pool of £140,000, with the winner receiving £25,000.
After defeating Rob Cross 8–6 in the 2019 final, Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion.
PDC Interwetten European Open Darts 2022 Tournament Format
In the second round, the top 16 qualifiers from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit on March 16 were seeded. The remaining 32 seats were filled by players from six qualifying tournaments, including 24 spots in the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
All matches in the first, second, third, and quarterfinal rounds will be played over the best of 11 legs. All semi-final matches will be best of 13 legs. The Best of 15 Legs format will be used in the Final.
