The Interwetten European Darts Open is the sixth of thirteen PDC European Tour tournaments on the PDC Pro Tour in 2022. The competition will take place in the Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen, Germany, on May 6–8, 2022. It will include 48 players and a £140,000 prize pool, with the winner collecting £25,000.

After defeating Rob Cross 8–6 in the 2019 final, Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion.

PDC Interwetten European Open Darts 2022 Tournament Format

The top 16 qualifiers from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit on March 16 were seeded in the second round. Players from six qualifying tournaments, including 24 spaces in the Tour Card Holder Qualifier, filled the remaining 32 seats.

The best of 11 legs will be used in all matches in the first, second, third, and quarterfinal rounds. The best of 13 legs format will be used in all semi-final matchups. The Final will be played in a Best of 15 Legs format.

2022 European Darts Open Schedule, Venue, Score, and Results

The tournament will take place in Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen, Germany, from May 6 to 8, 2022. It will include 48 players and a £140,000 prize pool, with the winner collecting £25,000. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.

Following a spectacular start to the PDC European Tour event in Leverkusen, Luke Woodhouse has set his sights on a showdown with Gerwyn Price in the Interwetten European Darts Open. In the standout performance of Friday’s first round at the Ostermann Arena, Englishman Woodhouse set his highest recorded average of 109.98 in a superb 6-0 whitewash of Mickey Mansell.

Josh Rock defeated fellow youngster Connor Scutt 6-0 in the afternoon session, and the emerging Northern Irish ace now faces Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski on Saturday. Runner-up in the German Darts Grand Prix Martin Lukeman’s aspirations of a strong run on the European Tour were dashed after a 6-3 loss to Dennis Nilsson, who will face Jose de Sousa in the second round.
