The European Chess Club Cup, which is organized by European Chess Union and uses the seven-round Swiss tournament format, features club teams from all over Europe competing each year. According to the tournament’s regulations, each team in the open division must have six players, while each team in the women’s division must have four.

2022 European Chess Club Cup Day 4 Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Other Details
In the European Chess Club Cup’s third round on Tuesday, majority of top-seeded teams triumphed as expected. On Day 4 of the championship, top-seeded CSU ASE Superbet will face sixth-seeded Schachclub Viernheim, and second-seeded Novy Bor Chess Club will face Magnus Carlsen’s Offerspill Chess Club. Each open-division tie will consist of six matches, with the team with the most points after six games declared the champion.

2022 European Chess Club Cup Results Today, Best Performers of Day, And Latest Standings
Six teams in the open division of European Club Cup have won every game they have played in Mayrhofen after three rounds. Meanwhile in women’s competition, Superbet & Pamhagen have six match points after first three rounds and lead the standings. After all games of Round 3 came to an end near mid-night, six teams emerged as co-leaders in the open competition. Out of top-eight ranked teams, only two French teams failed to win their respective matches. In their matches, third-seed Asnieres and fifth-seed Clichy could only manage draw against lower-ranked foe Sentimento Ajka and Gokturk respectively.
Despite losing on board 2, where Richard Rapport was defeated by up-and-coming Ukrainian star Kirill Shevchenko, favorites Superbet managed to defeat Vugar Gashimov by a score of 4-2 overall. In his match, Shevchenko required 18 movements to win. Elsewhere in women’s division, third-seed team Pamhagen defeated the top-seed team Cercle d’Echecs Monte-Carlo in a crucial early round of women’s competition. In the meantime, second-seeded Superbet defeated Odlar Yardu, who was rated fourth.
On Friday in open division all six teams of men’s division, who had a perfect start so far will face each other and hence, standings can be heavily altered when Round 4 comes to an end. Tomorrow, Superbet will play Viernheim while Offerspill will clash against Novy Bor in a nai-biting tie.
