Each year, club teams from all over Europe compete in the European Chess Club Cup, which is run by European Chess Union using the seven-round tournament under Swiss system. In accordance with the rules of this tournament, each team in the open category will have six players present, while each team in the women’s division will have four players.

2022 European Chess Club Cup Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Other Details
As was predicted, all of the major teams won their second round matches in European Chess Club Cup on Tuesday. Top-seed CSU ASE Superbet will play Vugar Gashimov on Day 3 of the competition, while second-seed Novy Bor Chess Club will play Beer Sheva Chess Club. Six matches will be played in each open-division tie, with the club having the most points after six games proclaimed the winner.

2022 European Chess Club Cup Results Today, Best Performers of Day, And Latest Standings
At round 2 of ongoing European Club Cup in Mayrhofen, there were no significant surprises and the favorites largely won with ease. In open division, reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen of Offerspill defeated Alexander Naumann while Vishy Anand of Superbet was handed rest day by his team. In the women’s competition, top-seed Monte-Carlo and second-seed Superbet both achieved comfortable victories during Round 2. However, both teams are set to face challenging tie in Round 3 in the form of third-seed Pamhagen and fourth-seed Odlar Yurdu respectively.
Due to Anand’s off-day, Rapport represented his team for second day of competition and comfortably defeated Miklos Nemeth of SK Dunajska Streda. On Day 2 heavyweights like Novy Bor and Superbet both won with score of 5-1. Meanwhile, Magnus Carlsen’s Offerspill defeated Schachgesellschaft Solingen with an even higher score of 5.5-0.5 as world champion easily defeated Alexander Naumann in a positional battle. Later in Round 3, Superbet and Novy Bor will square off against Vugar Gashimo and Beer Sheva respectively.
