For the first time since 2011, Men’s EuroHockey Championship will return to Hockeypark Mönchengladbach and hosts Germany are placed in Group-B alongside reigning champions Netherlands, France, & Wales. According to schedule, Germany men’s team will face-off against Wales to open begin their campaign on Saturday. Meanwhile, Olympic champions Belgium, England, Austria, and Spain will compete against one another in Group-A to determine the top-two teams, who will qualify for the semi-final.

2023 EuroHockey Championship schedule, date, venue, draw, & participating teams
Elsewhere, 2023 Women’s EuroHockey Championship will run from 18th August through 26th August and the champion team will earn their berth in the 2024 Olympics. After finishing as the runner-up in 2019 and 2021 edition, Germany women’s team will be eager to lift the title on their home turf. To secure their place in the semi-final stage, Germany will have to overcome the challenge of Scotland, England, & Ireland during the preliminary stage. Similarly, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, & Spain will compete against each other in Group-A.
