Euro has arrived but after a year’s delay due to Covid-19. This year it will be the 16th edition of the European Championship. Know the players to watch out for in Group A of Euro 2020
The tournament will have the superstars of the game participating in it and also a number of youngsters who will be making their tournament debut. There’s a bunch of exciting players playing in this year’s tournament.
The European Championship features 24 teams, making for six groups comprised of four teams.
Euro 2020 Players To Watch Group A
Ciro Immobile (Italy)
The 31-year-old striker plays for Serie A club Lazio has a good form at the club and he needs to replicate it on the international stage. He equalled the record for the most number of Serie A goals (36) during the 2019-20 season and won the European Golden Boot.
Burak Yılmaz (Turkey)
The 35-year-old plays as a striker for Ligue 1 club Lille and captains the Turkey national team. Lille are the current champions of Ligue 1, they won in the 2020–21 season. It was their 4th Ligue 1 title. Yilmaz has been sensational in Lille’s triumph; he scored 16 times in his first campaign in France’s top tier.
Granit Xhaka (Switzerland)
The 28-year-old Arsenal midfielder Xhaka likely will play a big part as he approaches 100 games for Switzerland. He also captains the Switzerland national team.
Gareth Bale (Wales)
Wales captain Gareth Bale is a winger who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur on a loan, had an amazing goal scoring season at Tottenham. He will look forward to continue the same form into the tournament. Wales will be reliant on Bale to provide the star quality in attack. Gareth Bale will be the key to Wales’ chances. There are rumors that he could retire after Euro 2020.

Romelu Lukaku (Belgium): Romelu Lukaku is a striker and also plays for Serie A club Inter Milan. Inter won the 2020–21 Serie A for the first time since a decade. And the 28-year old is in his best form as he finished the season 2020-21 with 24 league goals, 11 assists, making him the highest scorer in Inter Milan and the second highest-scorer in the league, behind Ronaldo.
