The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 marks the inaugural edition of this annual international esports tournament series, replacing the Gamers8 festival. Organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation and funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the event will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, spanning from July 3 to August 25, 2024.
It will showcase 22 events across 21 different video game titles and boasts the largest combined prize pool in esports history, exceeding US$60 million. This includes individual tournament prizes, rewards for qualifying teams, prestigious Most Valuable Player awards, and the Club Championship to determine the ultimate Club Champion.

According to the eligibility criteria, a team must finish in the top eight in at least two events to qualify for participation in the Esports World Cup 2024 Club Championship. To win the Esports World Cup 2024 Club Championship, a team must secure first place in at least one event of the Esports World Cup 2024.

Notably, the Esports World Cup 2024 Club Championship will distribute a total prize pool of $20 million among the top 16 organizations. From this purse, the champion will receive $7 million, while the runner-up will take home $4 million.
