Although Gaurdiola and Klopp are one of the highest paid managers, a rival from Europe makes far more money each month than they do, in overall leagues.

Their salaries each month are far less than the stated compensation of Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid.

Simeone reportedly receives £2.42 million each month, which is almost half of Guardiola’s monthly salary. With this salary, the 53-year-old LaLiga giants manager—who has been in charge since 2011—becomes the highest paid manager in Europe.

Here are the highest paid (monthly) managers in Europe as per L’Equipe report:

  • Diego Simeone: £2.42m
  • Pep Guardiola: £1.66m
  • Jurgen Klopp: £1.25m
  • Massimiliano Allegri: £920,000
  • Mauricio Pochettino: £870,000
