According to reports, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool are the best paid coaches in the Premier League and to be honest, alot of us had already guessed these two names in the list. 

Even with Man City’s dominance in recent seasons, Guardiola is not the best paid manager in the Premier League.

One of the greatest managers of all time, Guardiola is thought to make £1.66 million a month, according to a recent report by the French publication L’Equipe.

Building on his £20 million salary from the previous season, Guardiola guided Manchester City to a fourth straight title this year. 

On the other side, before leaving Chelsea this week, Mauricio Pochettino was the second-highest paid manager in the Premier League, taking home an annual salary of £10.4 million.

With Poch out of the picture, Mikrel Arteta of Arsenal, who ended slightly behind Guardiola’s City, now holds the second spot in the rankings. Here is the list of highest paid managers in the English Premier League.

Although Gaurdiola and Klopp are one of the highest paid managers, a rival from Europe makes far more money each month than they do, in overall leagues.

Their salaries each month are far less than the stated compensation of Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid.

Simeone reportedly receives £2.42 million each month, which is almost half of Guardiola’s monthly salary. With this salary, the 53-year-old LaLiga giants manager—who has been in charge since 2011—becomes the highest paid manager in Europe.
