He was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on June 4, 1983. He was nurtured by his grandfather, the late Amadou Bertin, until his passing from cancer in 2017. He also had a brother named N’Dr Serge, who passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2017.

He was married previously to a Belgian lady named Aurélie Bertrand. They are the parents of three children. However, they later got divorced. He then went onto marry his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie Boed.

His career

Emmanuel Eboue began his career in 2000, when he joined the ASEC Mimosas junior program. He was promoted to the senior team two years later. He relocated to Europe in 2002 and signed with Beveren in Belgium, where he played in 70 games and scored three goals while showcasing his skills.

Scouts from Arsenal were drawn to his play, and in 2004, he signed with the club. He made his debut against Stoke City in an FA Cup game.

Eboue played with Arsenal until 2011, collecting 214 games while representing the team, and taking home the UEFA Champions League runner-up trophy in 2006. In 2011, Emmanuel Eboue joined Galatasaray for €3.5 million, where he played consistently, winning the Turkish Super Lig title in his first season.

However, he was dropped from the senior squad in the 2014–15 season and spent the entire season with the U21 team. He left Galatasaray at the end of the season after his contract was not renewed.

In 2016, he agreed to a brief deal with Sunderland but was fired in April of the same year for failing to pay a previous agent. Due to his financial troubles and health worries, he sought to join other teams but ran into obstacles.

His old team Galatasaray eventually extended him an invitation to become a coach for the under-14 squad in December 2017.
