Despite making it to the Top 10 in the WTA rankings, Raducanu has had a difficult season thus far, dropping to 80th after losing in the first round of the US Open. The sixth-seeded 19-year-old overcame Moyuka Uchijima 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round of the Korea Open. After that, she defeated Yanina Wickmayer 6-3, 7-5 to get to the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, before losing to Linda Fruhvirtova 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the final at the recent Chennai Open, Linette advanced to one final this year and beat Moyuka Uchijima, Oksana Selekhmeteva, Rebecca Marino, and Katie Swan. The third-seeded Pole then participated in the Korea Open in Seoul, where she defeated Arianne Hartono in her opening encounter. She competed against Kristina Mladenovic in the second round. She saved two match points and rallied to win 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2 and move on to the quarterfinals after falling behind by a set and a break.

Linette might be the match’s favourite in light of her prior triumphs and Raducanu’s unpredictable performance.

However, the British player is a rising talent who shouldn’t be underrated. She may be able to play more freely now that she is less under pressure as a result of her decline in ranking. The 19-year-old has served 13 aces in her last two sets, and on Friday she will want to hit more of them. She will like to serve less double faults, although during the Korea Open, she has already served 11. Despite recent success for Linette, Raducanu might be able to defeat her and go to the 2022 semifinals.
