On Thursday, September 15, Bryan took to his social media platform and revealed the tragic news to his followers while sharing a series of Ella’s photographs with him including a family snapshot from Christmas.
In one of the pictures Bryan was seen pushing Ella in a wheelchair and their several other siblings with arms around one another.
Bryan captained the posts as, “My beautiful sister Ella, you amazed me every single day with the fight that you put up and how joyful you were constantly through this battle.
“Never did I think I would be sitting here today saying bye to you. I want to thank you for bringing happiness to not only me but so many people.”
As the tragic news broke, fans took to Twitter to share their condolences with Breese family. Opposing team members, coaches and several players paid their tributes to Ella.
One fan penned down, “I am absolutely heartbroken for Bryan and the entire Bresee family with their loss of Ella. Sending love and such deep felt prayers for them all #EllaStrong.”
Meanwhile the official Twitter page of Clemson football tweeted, “Ella Bresee will continue to be a source of light and strength for this program and the entire Clemson community. Please join us in sending our love and support to Bryan and the Bresee family. #EllaStrong.”
Following that Coach Mack Brown wrote, “On behalf of the Carolina football program, we want to send our condolences to the Bresee family during this difficult time. We’re all sending our thoughts in prayers.”
Bresee’s father, Rich, played college football, his mother, Meghan, played college basketball and his older sister, Kendall plays as well. Ella was aged 15.
