Elizabeth Cambage is black, so hearing this hurts much more with her making outlandish claims about Nigeria
Nobody knows why she said this to the Nigerian team. There are even claims that she stated more venomous things that have yet to be revealed. She needs to apologise right away for this.
Elizabeth Cambage Told Team Nigeria To Return To Their Third World Country
Former Australia women’s national basketball team captain Liz Cambage has been accused of asking Nigerian opponents to return to their Third World country.

Jenna O’Hea Confirmed this
Jenna O’Hea, who captained Team Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (which were held in 2021), appeared on ABC Sport in Australia as the WNBA season began over the weekend to talk about Elizabeth Cambage making the statement.
O’Hea was questioned if it was true that during a pre-Olympics scrimmage between Australia and Nigeria, Cambage’s “feathers were ruffled” and she told Nigerian players to “go back to your Third World nation,” sparking a melee.
“Everything you said is absolutely correct,” O’Hea replied.
Liz Cambage had mental illness
Cambage withdrew from the Olympics after the event, claiming mental health concerns. Cambage, who recently joined the Los Angeles Sparks, responded to O’Hea’s shocking charges in a roundabout way.
According to long-time NBA centre Andrew Bogut, this was simply the PG version of what transpired, with the events described by Cambage being significantly more serious.
Cambage cited mental health as a reason for withdrawing from the Olympics, but I’m not sure you can blame mental illness on this kind of vitriol directed at an opponent. Cambage took to Twitter to claim that the truth would be revealed, but she didn’t dispute or explain what she stated. Her own teammate is the one who confirms it. If your teammate agrees, it lends legitimacy to the claim.
Mental illness is no excuse for being a cruel and wicked person; you can’t just blame it on mental illness when you do anything bad. Maybe that is why she opened an OnlyFans account.
