2023-24 EFL Championship playoffs schedule, date, venue, matches, & qualified teams
Leicester City clinched the title and secured promotion by defeating Preston, joined by Ipswich Town, who secured promotion on the final matchday with a victory over Huddersfield Town. Meanwhile, Leeds United, alongside Southampton, West Brom, and Norwich City, will participate in the playoffs.
On Sunday, the EFL Championship playoffs will kick off with the semi-final stage, featuring the first legs. Meanwhile, the return fixtures will feature Leeds vs Norwich on May 16, and Southampton vs West Brom on May 17. Ultimately, the final will be hosted at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 26.
The playoffs’ seeding is determined by the teams’ league finishes this season. Leeds, finishing third in the standings, will take on Norwich, who finished in sixth place and are therefore considered the more favorable draw. Southampton, in fourth place, will challenge West Brom, who finished fifth. Leeds and Southampton will enjoy the home advantage in the second legs of their semi-finals.
