Game developers EA Sports have officially announced the release date for its PGA Tour game in 2023 along with other details like courses, tournaments, pro golfers roster, career mode, and more
This is the first mainline entry of the PGA Tour franchise ever since 2015, when the game released as Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.

Prior to the 2015 release, there was a new release every single year from 1994 through to 2013 and were known as Tiger Woods PGA Tour.
However, the golfing legend now has a contract with 2K, after recently fronting PGA Tour 2K23.

EA Sports have released an official trailer earlier this week ahead of the release. The trailer shows some amazing clips of Augusta National, as well as St Andrews. It also promises the chance for players to play in The Masters.
EA Sports PGA Tour Release Date
EA Sports confirmed the official release date for EA Sports PGA Tour as 24 March 2023. However, players can obtain it on early access on 21 March 2023.
Where to play EA Sports PGA Tour
EA Sports confirmed that the new version of the game is exclusively releasing only on next-generation consoles. This means that PS4 and Xbox One users will not be able to play the game. Instead, it will release only on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As of now, the developers have not released any info about a PC release.
Tournaments
EA Sports confirmed that all four majors golf tournament will be playable in the game:
- The Masters
- The PGA Championship
- The US Open Championship
- The Open Championship
Besides these tournaments, LPGA events including the Evian Championship and the FedEx Cup Playoffs will also feature in the game.

As of now, EA Sports haven’t confirmed the full list of player roster, however, they stated the following:
Fans will have the option to play against and as some of the biggest names in professional golf.
Career Mode
EA Sports confirmed that the new game will feature a career mode. In the career mode, players will get to play in some of the biggest events in the golf world and carve out a legendary career.
The career mode will be an RPG-like progression system on the Road to the Masters. Players will also get to create and customize their own golfer avatar, and develop their skills and master each course.
Players can develop the skill set for their career mode characters using over 20 different shot types. Besides this, players can also develop the skill set for driving, approach, short game, or putting, depending on their preferences.
