Famous basketball player Dwight Howard was discerned attending the holy city of India Varanasi and he has something very positive to say about his experience. The star had a great time alongside the river Ganges and the Los Angeles Lakers star asserted that the visit really resulted in the inspiration for him.

Dwight Howard had a journey to India as a part of his PixStory where he administers as the brand ambassador while his side couldn’t make it to the Play-In tournament following ugly series of losses. The Lakers had their season ended in the regular NBA season only as they couldn’t make it to the Play-In Tournament ahead of the Best-of-seven Playoffs.

The 17 times NBA champions recently won NBA Championships with Howard in the year 2020 and were a heavy favourite for the season but it didn’t happen as expected. With the early loss, the player got enough time to fulfil his journey dreams. The 36-year-old even visited the Taj Mahal, very close to Varanasi.

With all the attendances to the famous and holy places of the country, the player felt deeply spiritual and with this, Howard had affirmed to use his impact as a National Basketball Association (NBA) ace to “raise the name of God within the league and throughout the world,” before he was drafted back in the year 2004.

The player shared several images on his official social media handle related to his journey in which he was notably eyeing the rituals like thousands of other pilgrims. Howard even put sandalwood on his forehead and even attended the rite that is done on the banks of the river Ganga.

Following his visit, he expressed his experience on his Instagram handle and stated that the player was at peace with himself after his attendance in Varanasi. The 2020 NBA Champion with Lakers, Howards also remembered the prime minister of the country, Narendra Modi and his investment in making India this way.

Howard ended by saying that the holy city has “inspired so many legends” and it will keep inspiring many more.

Meanwhile, Howard’s visit to Varanasi was also acknowledged by the official page of UP Tourism.
