The tournament that saw a total of 43 matches played in a round-robin league-cum-knockout format, has divided teams into 6 groups.

Kolkata is set to host 3 groups, while Kokrajhar, Shillong, and Jamshedpur will each host one. In the lead-up to the tournament, the 3 iconic Durand Trophies embarked on a nationwide tour starting in New Delhi on July 10.
The tour was culminated in Kolkata just in time for the opening match at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on July 27. The final match is schedule for August 31 at the same venue.
