India C won the toss and chose to field, quickly reducing India A to 36/5. However, a pivotal 87-run stand between Shashwat Rawat (124 off 250 balls) and Shams Mulani (44 off 76 balls), along with a solid 90-run partnership between Rawat and Avesh Khan (51 off 68 balls, with five fours and four sixes), helped India A recover. The lower order displayed exceptional grit, with Avesh and Prasidh Krishna steering the team to a competitive total of 297.
In response, India C faltered early, slipping to 41/4. A 95-run partnership between Baba Indrajith (34 off 61 balls, with five boundaries) and Abishek Porel (82 off 113 balls, with nine fours) steadied the innings. Later, a resilient 58-run stand by the lower order—Pulkit Narang (41 off 114 balls) and Kambhoj (18)—helped India C reach 234, leaving them trailing by 63 runs.
