He was born on July 23, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S. His family is of Italian-American descent.

He died on December 15, 2022. He was 78 years old when he passed away. In a statement released on Wednesday, his wife Allison Holker, a professional dancer on “Dancing with the Stars” with whom he often shared videos on TikTok, said he had died.

His Career

Dino Danelli received his jazz drumming training before starting his career in New Orleans playing R&B. From 1965 to 1972, he was a member of The Rascals. He later joined them again for the event celebrating the 40th anniversary of Atlantic Records in 1988 and their 1997 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He founded Bulldog in 1972 along with Cornish, and they released two albums before breaking up in 1975. He and bassist Busta Jones briefly joined the Leslie West Band. In 1978, he and Cornish became a part of the firm Fotomaker.

In 1980, he became a part of Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul with Steven Van Zandt. He was a visual artist as well, working out of DinoDanelliArt.com, and he created album covers for Little Steven & the Disciples of Soul and The Rascals.
