Drew Timme is an American college basketball player and arguable one of the greatest players in the Gonzaga history. Timme was born in 9 September 2000 at Richardson, Texas, United States. The young talent, has played four years with the Gonzaga Bulldogs after joining in 2019. He has even led the team to one NCAA final appearance back in 2021.

Throughout his time with the Bulldogs, Timme has won multiple individual achievements. Back in 202, he was named in the WCC All-Freshman Team as a backup center. He also won the Karl Malone Award in 2021, which is given to the best power forward in the entire nation.
Besides those awards, Timme is also a two-time second-team All-American, a two-time WCC Player of the Year and a three-time All-WCC first-team. Timme was also a consensus first-team All-American and also got nominated for Player of the Year. Drew Timme is a senior and this is his fourth and final year at Gonzaga. However, he is still eligible to play a fifth year for Gonzaga after the NCAA’s new rule which allows players an extra year of eligibility. The new rule comes into effect because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which cancelled the 2020 March Madness.
However, as things stand, Timme is not interested in utilizing that option. The 22-year-old is looking to end his career with the Bulldogs by this season itself.

Drew Timme isn’t expected to be one of the top players in the 2023 Draft and is likely to be drafted in the second round. Two of his weakness that NBA scouts would fret over are his three-point shooting percentage (25%) along with his free throw percentage (65.6%).
Through his college career, Timme has averaged 17.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
Drew Timme makes NCAA history during win over UCLA
Drew Timme made NCAA history during the Bulldogs’ Sweet 16 win over UCLA on Thursday, March 23. After scoring 36 points for the Zags, Timme became the first player ever in NCAA history to score 20 or more points across ten different games in the March Madness event.
His 36 points also played a big role in the Zags’ 79-76 victory over UCLA, which set them up for an Elite Eight matchup against the UConn Huskies on Saturday, March 25.
However, interestingly, despite carrying the Bulldogs on Thursday, he almost cost them their win as well. In the final 12 seconds of the game, Timme missed two crucial free throws down the stretch. The misses led the UCLA to take the lead on the next possession.
However, luckily for Timme and the Zags, Julian Strawther hit an exciting game-winning 3-point shot to give Gonzaga the lead. Strawther also made an impressive free throw during the final 1.1 seconds of the game.
