This movie is a sequel to the 2019 hit ‘Dream Girl’, now the movie will hit cinema halls on 25th August 2023. Earlier it was supposed to release on 7th July 2023.

Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Twitter to make an announcement. Khurrana later shared a note attached with an audio message over a social media platform, on which he declared the new release date of his latest movie.
The actor captioned the post by writing, “Pachees badi hai mast, kyunki @pooja___dreamgirl aa rahi hai on 25th of अगस्त. #PoojaKiKissOnAug25 #DreamGirl2 releasing in cinemas on the 25th of August, 2023.”
While audio attached with the post, has been recorded in the real voice of actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s character in the movie – ‘Pooja’, reads out the following note: “Mere priya aashiqon, chaar saal baad aapke dil ka telephone phir se ring ring hoga. Ab iske liye taiyaari bhi toh shaandaar, dhamakedaar aur smoochiebhari honi chahiye na? Toh karo thoda aur intezaar. And keep sending lots of pyaar! Ab #7KoSaathMein nahin, Pooja ki kiss on August Pachees! Dream Girl 2 was released in theatres on 25th August 2023. – Aapki pyaari, Pooja.”
Why ‘Dream Girl 2’ got postponed?
As per Ektaa R Kapoor, Joint Managing Director of Balaji Telefilms Limited, the release has been postponed for the betterment in the visual effects of the movie, VFX. She further said, “We want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character to look even more stunning and perfect as Pooja in ‘Dream Girl 2’, and this is why we took some extra time to have a perfect VFX work for face.”
‘We make sure that our audience gets the best possible experience when they watch the film.’ She further added.

‘Dream Girl 2’ is a remake of the 2019 comedy-drama film called ‘Dream Girl’. The movie stars Ayushman Khurrana, who is Karam, a man whose female voice impersonates the character ‘Pooja.’
Ananya Pandey will be playing Pari Singh. Paresh Rawal will play Anna Seeth. Vijay Raaz will be playing a supporting role. The movie is written by Raj Shanndilya and Naresh Kathooria. The budget of the movie is INR 35 crore.
