The Beginning
Akira Toriyama is the creator of Dragon Ball, which began as a manga. The series eventually had an anime adaptation. Another classic Chinese work, Journey to the West, served as inspiration for the plot of Dragon Ball. In Hong Kong, it was considered a top martial arts picture.
At first, Akira Toriyama was both the writer and illustrator of the manga. Also, for just over a decade, the Weekly Shonen Jump serialized the series. Toei Animation eventually turned the Dragon Ball manga into an anime. The producers choose to divide the show into two sections. Because of that, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z came into being.
