Fans of the Dragon Ball Super manga are quite upset as Chapter 88 release date still remains to be announced

It’s been a while since any news from the creator has come up. Fans of the manga are pretty sad as the hiatus has now extended into the second consecutive month.

While the majority of the readers worldwide are looking forward to having new chapters every Sunday, Dragon Ball Super fans seem pretty heartbroken.

Previously manga runs on quite smoothly on a monthly release schedule as the writer Akira Toriyama has been quite consistent in domestic publications.

Unfortunately, it’s not the case as the patience of worldwide fans is being tested for another month. Meanwhile the manga is absent from the New V Jump Issue.

The fans have now taken to the matter to Twitter as they flooded the platform asking questions like is there any update regarding the chapter 88.

The last chapter i.e, Chapter 87th of Dragon Ball Super was updated on August 19th, however, at the end of the chapter, a note seemed to be added saying the manga would be taking a brief hiatus.

However they didn’t say when they will return, and as of now there isn’t any news regarding the return.

The end statement reads, “Dragon Ball Super will be taking a break for a bit to prepare for the next arc!”

Which pointed out a fact that the Granola the Survivor Saga story acr has come to an end within the same chapter.

Though, the writer said the hiatus will be brief, but is proving to kuch longer than anyone has expected.

It’s been 2 months now, and unfortunately we don’t have any official comment on the release date of Chapter 88 of Dragon Ball Super manga.

However, in a report, ComicBook stated that the manga is aiming to return in December.

The statement from ComicBook reads, “The biggest theory suggests Dragon Ball will aim for a winter return that aligns with Shueisha’s Jump Festa in December.”

However, in another statement they revealed that manga will return next year as their other statement reads, “another likely return window is at the start of 2023.”

As of now, all the chapters of the series are available to read on platforms such as Viz Media and Manga Plus.

Readers can join the platform at a cost of $1.99 per month and can enjoy the series.

Meanwhile, the animated movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has been the biggest anime movie of the year. The animated film has grossed over $86 million globally.
